Rock My Wedding does eco

March 25, 2010

Really chuffed that the brilliant Rock my Wedding blog has just posted one of my favourite weddings from last year taking a fab angle on all things eco.  Lizzie & Matt tied the knot in Hull last year and bought tons of personal and eco friendly touches to their lovely day.  You can read lots more about their wedding on the post and of course enjoy some of my favourite images:

I was delighted to be asked back by Ros Raine, Fundraising Manager for Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids Charity to photograph their annual charity golf day at the very beautiful Oulton Hall in Leeds.  We weren’t quite as lucky with the weather as last year (I can remember boiling sunshine, sunglasses and drinks on the terrace!!) but it was still a fantastic day that raised tons of cash (£4050 and counting!) for the charity.  Lots of Yorkshire businesses got involved including a team entry by Emmerdale – action shots of Tom Lister who plays Carl King & Chris Bisson who plays Jai Sharma below…

Just in case you haven’t come across the charity before it raises funds to benefit sick, disabled or underprivileged children in West Yorkshire.  Key campaigns are the Toy Appeal at Christmas and Ros and the team are currently raising funds for The Leeds Children’s Hospital.  Ros is also looking for runners for the Leeds 1/2 Marathon in May and there are other challenges to follow including The Three Peaks (eek!) – do get in touch via the Radio Aire website if you want to get involved.

I’ve been really enjoying some ongoing commissions for marketing gurus 10 Associates which recently saw me spending a day in wellies on a farm in Yorkshire documenting the farm team and herdsmen.  I’ve picked out some of my favourites – hope you enjoy them…

I’m really delighted to be exhibiting at The Wedding Affair’s boutique wedding fair at Grays Court in York Sunday 25th April.  Grays Court has just recently launched as a wedding venue – tucked away behind the Minster it just looks amazing – steeped in history.  I lived in York for 3 years and it remains one of my favourite cities – so unique and just a perfect backdrop to a wedding.

I’ll post more details nearer the date…

Back from the Alps…

March 10, 2010

Just back from an amazing weeks skiing in Les Arcs in France.  Enjoyed 8 days on the slopes instead of 6 as we all travelled by Eurostar which was a cool new adventure.  Not the most comfortable of sleeping experiences but hey who cares when you don’t have nasty air miles on your conscience and there’s only a 10 minute transfer to your chalet.  Would definitely recommend it as a good alternative to flying…  Oh.. and you can’t beat starting a holiday at the St. Pancreas Champagne Bar!

Busy catching up on lots of wedding and portrait enquiries as well as getting set for some upcoming commercial shoots for 10 Associates and One Life Ceremonies.
