DINE CATERING

Christmas Ambassadors’ Dinner in Leeds

I have worked with Dine Catering on several occasions in wedding world so it was lovely to be commissioned to photograph their Christmas Ambassadors’ Dinner last week.  The dinner was hosted in the beautiful Mansion in Roundhay Park in Leeds where Dine are based.

The photography brief was to capture a sense of the festive ambiance and lots of food images.  This meant really thinking on my feet as the food images had to be taken in the flow of service so there was no time to stage or style anything.  Plates were captured literally in hand as they were carried to the table or in the context of the table settings before guests tucked in.  The warmth of the colour decor really supported this approach and added a really effective seasonal feel.  I normally photograph food using natural light but this was an occasion where flash was definitely required.

I also managed to document some behind the scenes kitchen images.  The care and attention that goes into the creation and finish of Dine’s food is amazing.

The centrepieces were created by the talented team at Twisted Willow Floristry.  The beautiful deep reds fitted the festive theme perfectly and matched beautifully with the warm glow of the candles and gold ethnic name frames.

Here are some favourite images from the event.
