Documentary wedding photography
Telling the story of your day
My wedding photography approach is known as documentary or reportage. This style of photography is when natural moments are captured without direction to create the story of your wedding day. This allows you and your guests to be yourselves – natural smiles win every time over something posed and directed. There will also be a little bit of time put aside for some relaxed portraits of the happy couple. No big fashion magazine style shoots that take you away from your family and friends for hours. And definitely no cheesy poses draping you around trees! I’m always happy to accommodate a small number of family group shots as I understand how important these images can be.
My wedding photography pricing is tailored to the needs of each couple. The fees are inclusive of watermark free digital files and a whole host of service extras. I offer beautiful fine art albums that are handcrafted in Yorkshire and tick lots of eco friendly boxes.
I am based in York and offer coverage across Yorkshire and beyond. I cover weddings of all shapes and sizes. Small intimate weddings in pubs and restaurants, traditional country marquee weddings, Papa Kata teepee celebrations and grand stately home affairs.
I’m so proud that this is my tenth year of photographing weddings. I still love every second of my work!
