YORK FASHION WEEK 2018

PHOTOGRAPHY HIGHLIGHTS

I could write so many blog posts about my experiences of being the official photographer for York Fashion Week 2018.  I’ve been a busy bee though since the event and so actually thought a highlights feature would be a lovely way to share some of the amazing people and events I got to photograph.

This was York’s first fashion week and it was a busy programme full of a diverse range of events.  Catwalks, shopping events, workshops and demonstrations were some of the things on offer.

There were so many wonderful business – both independent and high street – that got involved that it’s impossible to credit everyone.  There is then the list of professionals and volunteers involved – bloggers, stylists, make-up and hair artists and of course models.

I’m thrilled to now be on the steering group for Fashion City York who are the team behind York Fashion Week.  I have the privilege of working alongside Angela Horner, Antonia Houston and Nicky Hayer.  Super talented Nicky and her partner Mark at Nima Consultancy have been responsible for the development of the fashion week branding and marketing.  Plans are already underway for the 2019 event and it’s going to be amazing!

If you have a fashion label or related business and would like to get involved for next year’s event then do pay a visit to the YORK FASHION WEEK website to catch up on all of the latest news.
